Cindy Crawford is no stranger to front covers of Vogue as she appeared as a fresh faced model in a power top with shoulder pads and chunky junk jewellery.

Back then she was the ultimate bombshell and two decades later, Cindy Crawford somehow manages to just as good if not even better.  Now she has two children and she  has appeared in a stunning photoshoot for the December issue of French Vogue.

At 42 she has clearly lost none of her natural beauty, with flawless skin and lustrous hair.

The demands of motherhood have, if anything, left her famous supermodel figure even more toned, it’s all the running round after the little nippers.  Miss Crawford reportedly keeps in shape by hiking and using the Power Plate vibrating gym machine, and she sticks to a high-protein diet.

She has appeared on more magazine covers than any other model in history.

‘Too fat’ Wonderbra model Katie Green makes debut with lingerie brand Ultimo – I HEAR THE POPULATION OF BRITAIN..NO THE WORLD SAYING YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING US, OR SOMETHING ALONG THOSE LINES. (sorry I am shouting but get real – TOO FAT !!)

Katie Green, the Wonderbra model who was branded ‘too fat’, has made her debut as the new face and body of lingerie firm Ultimo.

The label signed Katie, who is 5ft 10ins and weighs in at 10st 5lb, (sounds like she a boxer – but she is not) after she quit her job when a top modelling agency told her to lose two stone which in my calculations takes her to 8 stone 5 for a height of 5 foot 10. Rather slim or should I say skinny! Bag of bones! I think ! Does anyone else think the same?

The 21-year-old won an audition in the summer to be the new Wonderbra girl and the company suggested she join a major agency, who advised her to slim down from a size 12 to a size 10. Losing 2 stone would have taken her to a size 8 not 10 !! Far to skinny!

The former New Look shop assistant from West Sussex has: I really didn’t know where my career was going to go after the depression of being told I was too fat.

Katie also said ‘Had I lost the two stone, I would have looked like a bag of bones. I won’t sacrifice my health.’ She has now joined the ranks of former Spice Girl Mel B and Melinda Messenger, and will model Ultimo’s D-G range. Katie is a sexy 30F hired for the famous firm’s “real woman” ads, blasted: “They got great publicity out of launching me as a ‘real’ curvy model. “Then I was told that I had to lose lots of weight and become like all the other girls on the catwalk or I was finished. What a joke.”

Ultimo creator Michelle Mone said: ‘I was appalled to hear that Katie had been told that she was too fat to model lingerie. She went on to say ‘She has an incredible shape and represents real women throughout the UK. ‘By signing Katie, it proves that models don’t have to be a size zero to look fabulous or to have a successful modelling career.’

However, with the good news that an underwear company recognises a real woman and her shape. Not just a pretty face: Can model Caprice’s bras give Next a boost? a question raised in the Daily Mail this week

High street giant Next has chosen model Caprice’s ‘By Caprice’ lingerie line to be the first branded product stocked in its stores. Dropping into store this week, the successful underwear brand, which is already stocked nationwide in Debenhams, Littlewoods and Asos.com, is owned, designed and fronted by the model-turned-entrepreneur.

Caprices range is affordable with her bestselling ‘Can Can’ bra, £18, and shorty, £10, and the ribbon-trimmed ‘Electra’ bra, £20, and thong for £10.

Caprice is a canny business woman and she said ‘I’m a conservative businesswoman and react fast – we’ve actually grown. More expensive brands are suffering, and customers are turning to us where you can buy a set for under £30’ The low price point does not mean a sacrifice in quality. Caprice personally visits her factories in China.

‘Customers are smart! They want quality.’ Next added ‘We are thrilled to be teaming up with Caprice’ says Natalie Pead, Head of Public Relations at Next. ‘Our customers can now benefit from a wider choice over several different ranges’

‘A new high-impact TV advertising campaign is also helping to boost the brand’s profile. Featuring a cameo from Dannii Minogue, the cinema-length 60-second commercial stars Brazilian supermodel Emanuela and male model of the moment Paul Sculfor (current squeeze of A-lister Cameron Diaz), as well as a soundtrack by hot indie band Scouting For Girls.
What’s more, the label is continuing to invest – it will spend £40m refitting stores in the next year. ‘We have maintained advertising spend and improved the quality and design of our clothing and Home ranges’, it announced in a recent press release.

The ‘By Caprice’ lingerie range was originally launched in 2001 as part of a licensing agreement with Debenhams. Caprice dissolved the agreement in 2006, however, investing her own money in order to take the brand forward. ‘I look back and think “I had major nerve!” I don’t have any equity partners and it took £500,000 just to open the doors! I had no idea what I was getting myself into!’

The move proved financially sound though. ‘Usually a company won’t start making a profit for two and a half, three years,’ she continued. ‘I started making a profit after a year and a half, and I have no debt. ‘It’s all about figures. I’ve stayed pretty quiet, but I can show people on paper now – people don’t believe it till they see it’.

Last year saw the addition of swimwear and nightwear collections, while an evening wear range exclusive to Littlewoods, ‘Glam by Caprice’, launched earlier this year – and when asked about the future of the brand it seems she has no intention of slowing down. To me she is a woman to watch, affordable lingerie that also looks hot…..

 Saucy underwear, a candlelit dinner and kisses in the street – it seems Lewis Hamilton likes to treat girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger to some old fashioned romance. The racing ace with a very fit body and the Pussycat Doll with another very fit body are enjoying a romantic break in Paris away from their busy schedules. LUCKY THINGS

They spent the afternoon in a lingerie store, where Lewis sought the advice of a professional as he picked out a gift for Nicole. He could be seen admiring the barely there lace and silk underwear in the window, including the suspender belts. 

 

 

After buying her some new underwear Lewis took Nicole for a romantic candlelit dinner, holding her hand across the table.

 

 

Lewis Hamilton has a cheeky grin on his face as he leaves a lingerie shop in Paris with girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger.  Okay question what did Lewis buy?  Any idea?

 

 

The two then headed to a Parisian restaurant to enjoy some French cooking.   But they seemed more interested in each other than the food, holding hands across the table and gazing into one another’s eyes.   Lewis, 23, snapped photos of Nicole across the table, leaning over with a smile to show her the results. LOVED UP OR WHAT !!!!!!

 After leaving they couldn’t keep their hands off each other, kissing under the moonlight in the street outside.  Lewis and the 30-year-old singer have been inseparable since they met at the MTV Europe Music Awards last November.  In between his racing and sponsorship commitments, Lewis has even joined his girlfriend’s band on tour.

 The couple exchanged a moonlit kiss as they left the restaurant.  And later let us imagine what happened………the story continues.   AH SWEET !!!
