Beth Ditto squeezes into a  Herve Leger bandage dress

The unforgiving bandage dress designed by Herve Leger has found a natural fit among an attention-seeking celebrity clientèle.  With the likes of Lindsay Lohan , Victoria Beckham and Scary Spice to name but a few are  massive fans of the bandage dress.

But to some, the fit comes more naturally than others.

A fearless Beth Ditto, 28, squeezed herself into the tight-fitting lycra dress, testing its seams and they held so that’s bloody marvellous manufacturing and great cotton,  as she attended Stella McCartney’s Paris fashion show.

With its tightly woven bands of lycra, the bandage dress certainly offered some support to the larger than life lead singer of band Gossip.   But even for Ditto – whose love of tight clothing appears to have no boundaries – this was a look too far, as the frock failed to flatter her 15st figure. According to the Daily Mail.  However, I think it’s a  bit too short and her knees look odd!!!!   But after all I take my hat off to her you go girl – shock them and she does.

Beth, who currently writes an advice column for The Guardian newspaper, entitled ‘What Would Beth Ditto Do?, might well need some sartorial advice of her own.   Beth has been attending all the top shows in Paris, no doubt taking notes after she revealed plans last year for her own fashion line, a collaboration with high street store Evans.  ‘Oh I’m loving doing it. Its been such a fun project,’ she said.

The US born singer sat front row at the fashion show  whose guests included, Thandie Newton, Salma Hayek and Twiggy, as well as McCartney’s husband, Alisdhair Willis, and her sister, Mary.  Last to arrive was Sir Paul McCartney and his girlfriend, Nancy Shevell, the latter dressed in a cream McCartney coat and matching pom-pom knit bag.

She recently posed nude for the premiere issue of Love Magazine. It marks the second time Beth has stripped it off for a magazine, after she first appeared naked on the cover of NME in 2007.

Love editor Katie Grand said of the star who numbers Kate Moss among her high-profile fans: ‘She says the wrong things. She looks the wrong way.

‘Isn’t it confounding and amazing to have an iconic figure who doesn’t have a 25-inch waist?’.

ihanna may have disappointed her UK fanbase after puling out of the X Factor final on Saturday, at the very last minute, she was due to appear with JLS singing her hit song Umbrella.  But all the acts including Beyonce I think  did a brilliant job and she  has got a voice that is trully amazing, poor Alexandra was so overcome that she was reduced to tears.  Her last minute departure  sent the show into chaos with the contestants having to swap their celebrity partners at the 11th hour.

Despite this Rihanna “did the do” stateside and she put on her sexiest performance to date.  Dressed in a green corset-style bra and metallic mini-skirt, she girated on stage as she performed at the Jingle Ball Holiday Season Concert, held in Florida.

The Divas were out in force in their best bib and tucker – or lack of costume as the photos will show.  Very raunchy, very minimal and very tight – what a combination.   All three  performed in a series of sexy outfits at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles.

Christiana arrived in a very demure stunning dress and soon changed to black clad vamp!

Whilst Beyonce Knowles put on an energetic performance of her latest release Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).  But what a face crikey, it looks like she may have either stepped in something or is sucking a lemon!!

Also going for the fishnets tights and hotpants look was Beyoncé, who showed off her cleavage in a revealing black and white puffball waistcoat.  Together with two doppelganger dancers, Beyoncé performed a high energy routine to her latest track Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).  Ever the individual, Rihanna put her own sexy take on the biker look in a leather corset dripping with ‘heavy metal’ and skin-tight leather trousers and thigh-high boots. The raunchy outfits were a change of pace for the singers, who looked demure in couture on the red carpet prior to the ceremony.

Rihanna, who won Favourite Soul/R&B Female Artist and Favourite Pop/Rock Album at the bash, wore an unusual ivory coloured strapless mini dress.  It was a double celebration for Rihanna, whose singer boyfriend Chris Brown ended up the biggest winner of the night with three trophies.  The three solo stars weren’t the only sexy performances of the night, the Pussycat Dolls brought their raunchy stage show to the awards.

Pole-dancing: Nicole Scherzinger managed an energetic performance despite wearing a figure-hugging PVC outfit and I bet Lewis loved it.

Anybody of a certain age can remember Lynda Carter in Wonder Woman – tight, tight outfit in red, white and blue.

But way before the TV programme she appeared not Lynda Carter in comics.   We move from the 1970’s and right up to the 21st Century and now it could all be on  our screens again and this time with the superstar Beyonce.    She is already a superstar, but now Beyonce Knowles wants to be a superhero – as the first black Wonder Woman.

At only 27-years-old she has met with executives at DC Comics and Warner Brothers, who own the rights to the iconic figure, to discuss what are the next steps to produce this little gem again.

‘A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing,’ Beyonce said. ‘It’s time for that, right? It would be great.’ Her interest was sparked  when she saw the costume worn by Lynda Carter in the hit Seventies TV show on display at a museum. She said: ‘I was thinking to myself, “OK, I need to be a superhero.” Wonder Woman would be a very bold choice. There’s an action element that I would enjoy.’ Beyonce, whose acting career has included  a comic turn in Austin Powers In Goldmember and a Diana Ross-type character in Dreamgirls, says she is ready to camp it up in

‘I would definitely have to keep it right for that costume,’ she said. ‘The way Lynda Carter wore that suit was amazing. Her waist was unbelievable. It was pretty crazy, her proportions. But I love Wonder Woman and it would be a dream come true.’

But Beyonce faces some competition. Dannii Minogue also wants the part – get out of her Dannii Minogue no way on earth!  Mission: Impossible III star Keri Russell is to play her in an animated film and newcomer Megan Gale will be Wonder Woman in Justice League.
